Le Programme pilote pour les étudiants dans les communautés francophones en situation minoritaire (PPECFSM) est un moyen pour les étudiants d’expression française de certains pays d’obtenir un permis d’études. Il offre aux participants la possibilité de rester dans une communauté francophone en situation minoritaire (hors Québec) après l’obtention de leur diplôme.
Pays de citoyenneté admissibles
Pour être admissible, vous devez être citoyen de l’un des pays suivants, membres de l’Organisation internationale de la Francophonie en Afrique, au Moyen-Orient et dans les Amériques.
- Bénin, Burkina Faso , Burundi , Cabo Verde, Cameroun, Comores, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Dominique, Égypte, Gabon, Guinée, Guinée équatoriale, Guinée-Bissau, Haïti, Liban, Madagascar, Mali, Maroc, Maurice, Mauritanie, Niger , République centrafricaine, République démocratique du Congo, République du Congo, Rwanda, Sainte-Lucie, Sao Tomé-et-Principe, Sénégal, Seychelles, Tchad, Togo, Tunisie.

Conditions requises pour votre programme d’études
Vous devez être en possession d’une lettre d’acceptation d’un EED participant qui indique que vous présentez une demande dans le cadre du PPECFSM. Votre programme d’études doit répondre aux critères suivants :
- être de niveau postsecondaire;
- être à temps plein;
- être d’une durée de 2 ans ou plus;
- mener à l’obtention d’un grade ou d’un diplôme;
- avoir le français comme principale langue d’enseignement (plus de 50 % des cours sont offerts en français).
Établissements d’enseignement désignés participants
Au fur et à mesure que les accords seront conclus avec les établissements d’enseignement (hors Québec) pour qu’ils participent au programme pilote, ils seront ajoutés ici.

La somme d’argent dont vous avez besoin
Le montant dont vous avez besoin pour vos frais de subsistance dépend de la taille de la communauté où se trouve le campus principal de votre établissement d’enseignement. Vous devez également montrer que vous avez suffisamment d’argent pour payer vos frais de scolarité.

Vous pouvez faire venir votre époux ou conjoint de fait et vos enfants à charge avec vous au Canada. Ils peuvent avoir droit à :

Voie d’accès à la résidence permanente
Vous pouvez être admissible à la résidence permanente (ainsi que votre époux ou conjoint de fait et vos enfants à charge) après avoir obtenu votre diplôme si vous répondez aux critères suivants :
- vous êtes résident du Canada (hors Québec);
- vous avez un statut de résident temporaire valide au moment où vous présentez votre demande;
- vous avez obtenu un grade ou un diplôme admissible pendant que vous participiez au PPECFSM.
